For serious students, families, and adults with some experience in art, from beginners to professionals.
You will receive support and learning at whatever level you come in, and we promise you will leave with new insights and capabilities.
We offer an immersive artistic nature study with an exceptional teacher, trained in intensive classical traditions in Russia as well as in contemporary art.

Join us for art outside with an exceptional art teacher, Sasha Budyv from Repin Academy in St Petersburg and now teaching at Bridgeview School of Art in NYC, Princeton School of Fine Art, and the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, assisted by Kristin Witbeck Lee, Seneca artist.
Sasha was trained in a classical, highly rigorous Russian artistic tradition requiring many years of study and practice. From this foundation, artists continue to both contemporary and classically academic careers. Sasha’s students have gone on to places like RISD, Pratt, SVA etc on the strength of the work developed with him.
Kristin holds a BA in Studio Art and English from Connecticut College, an MFA in writing from Bennington College and a Masters Equivalent Certification in Waldorf High School Teaching. She studies at Bridgeview School of Fine Art and has taught all ages in academics, drama, meditation, writing and fine arts.
We do not offer a general demo which you then copy: each person chooses a place that speaks to them, and receives highly individualized guidance and instruction.
Painting in nature create conditions for both intensive artistic and self development. The quiet wonder of the world reveals itself in the process, and we promise you will leave with increased artistic, observational and creative capacities.
Come for the day, the weekend or three days. Choose your own hotel or accommodations in the beautiful Litchfield hills of the southern Berkshires, exciting NYC or the rolling green fields of the historic Lancaster, PA area. We will provide lunch and snacks in addition to highly individualized artistic and creative guidance among interesting and accomplished fellow artists in spectacular and inspiring natural surroundings.
